Many of you have heard the news that Lucy was admitted to Texas Children's Hospital on Friday morning, April 2nd, and diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Lucy, who will be 3 years old on April 24th, started chemotherapy that same day and was in the hospital for 5 days.
Just after her first chemotherapy, she was eating lunch, painting her aunt's fingernails, and playing with her toys as if she was in Disneyland instead of the oncology unit. Kelly and Bruce met with the doctors today and were given a very positive prognosis, however have been instructed to prepare for a long battle with their daughter's illness.
Thank you to all of you who have already sent your well wishes. Please keep Lucy in your thoughts and prayers. We will continue to update this site with the latest on her condition.
